Video & TELEVISION
Onion NEWS NETWORK
From 2008-2012, I wrote for The Onion’s Peabody Award-winning satire of cable news. I created scripts for video series including Newsroom, Today Now, O-Span, Beyond The Facts, Tech Trends, Star Fix, and more, parodying a wide range of TV genres. Here are a few of my favorites:

Today Now: How To Channel Your Road Rage Into Cold, Calculating Road Revenge
Ohio Replaces Lethal Injection With Humane New Head-Ripping-Off Machine

Team Coco: WRECK LEAGUE
I was a writer for the Team Coco produced esports competition Wreck League. In this reality show, professional gamers battle each other by playing the world’s most ridiculous video games. Wreck League aired as a segment on the TBS television show Super Punch.
Television SHOW: Onion NEWS NETWORK
I served as a Staff Writer on the TV adaptation of ONN, a half-hour comedy show that aired on the cable channel IFC.
Clickhole VIDEO
As a Staff Writer for ClickHole, I wrote and directed comedic videos parodying a wide variety of online clickbait.
Collegehumor
I wrote three episodes of the CollegeHumor series Don’t Laugh News, a show that challenges actors to read out a hilarious script they haven’t seen before, without cracking up.
ADVERTISING & BRANDED CONTENT
As The Onion’s Business Editor, I helped launch the company’s in-house ad agency Onion Labs by serving as lead writer on numerous projects for corporate clients. My ideas earned The Onion millions of dollars in revenue, while also achieving a rare feat: branded content that fans actually enjoyed.
For the video game company Bethesda, I wrote a video series to promote their flagship titles The Elder Scrolls Online, The Evil Within, and Wolfenstein: The New Order. In addition to delighting our viewers, this ad campaign also received positive coverage in news outlets like GameSpot and Destructoid.
